Battery R&D Services

Specialised analysis, cell development and technical support for battery programmes.

Edortech helps partners turn materials and cell questions into defined experiments, documented results and practical next decisions.

Start with the decision the data must support

A useful test programme begins with a clear question. Are you comparing materials, diagnosing a failure, selecting a cell design, validating a prototype or preparing the next R&D work package? Edortech defines the scope around that decision, then selects the smallest meaningful combination of analysis, cell assembly and electrochemical testing.

Projects can range from a focused SEM investigation to a multi-step cell-development or collaborative R&D programme.

SEM Imaging & Morphological Analysis

Understand surface, structure and failure features at the scale where electrode behaviour begins.

Edortech provides scanning electron microscopy support for battery materials, electrodes and selected cell components. The work is designed around a defined question such as particle morphology, coating uniformity, surface change, cross-section structure, contamination screening or comparison before and after testing.

Typical Scope

Sample and question review
Imaging plan and magnification
Surface or cross-section imaging
Comparative image set with annotations

Partner Receives

A documented image package, sample identifiers, acquisition conditions available from the instrument workflow, annotated observations and a clear separation between observation and interpretation.

Small-Batch Cell Assembly

Build controlled research cells without committing to a large production run.

Edortech assembles small batches of research cells for material screening, design comparison and validation programmes. The build is defined through a bill of materials, electrode and component specification, assembly procedure, sample coding and an agreed formation or handover plan.

Potential Formats

Coin cells

For rapid screening and material benchmarking.

Single-layer pouch cells

For representative full-cell learning.

Multi-layer prototypes

Where capability and project scope are confirmed.

Partner Receives

A controlled build record, sample list, agreed process metadata, cells or tested-cell data as defined in the statement of work, and a record of deviations or build observations.

Plan a small-batch build

Cell-Level Electrochemical Validation

Test the material where it must ultimately create value: in a defined cell system.

Edortech designs and executes electrochemical test programmes for research cells and prototypes. Protocols are selected around the development question and can include formation, capacity and efficiency, cycling, rate response, storage, temperature-dependent behaviour and selected diagnostic steps.

Typical Questions

Which material or electrode variant is most promising?
How does the full cell behave relative to a baseline?
Which formation window improves stability?
Where does performance loss begin?

Partner Receives

Protocol definition, traceable cell identifiers, processed data, selected raw-data export, comparison plots, interpretation within the agreed scope and a next-step recommendation.

Strategic & Collaborative Support

Test Design & Diagnostics

Turn a broad performance concern into a testable hypothesis.

Not every programme needs a standard cycle-life test. Edortech supports the design of targeted measurement plans that connect the suspected mechanism, available samples and the decision a partner must make. The scope may combine electrochemical data, dimensional observations, microscopy and comparative controls.

Collaborative R&D

Add battery-material, cell and scale-up capability to a shared development objective.

Edortech participates in bilateral and consortium R&D programmes where the technical work benefits from an integrated material-to-cell approach. We can contribute work-package definition, anode and electrode development, research-cell assembly, validation planning, data interpretation and scale-up input.
